Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a regulated practice in Ontario, whereby wellness and healing are facilitated between an individual, couple, or family, and a trained mental health professional.
This relationship is integral to the treatment and is based on open communication, ongoing collaboration, and recognized psychotherapeutic approaches or interventions.
I also recognize and acknowledge that individual wellness and concerns are connected to our environments, families, communities, and structural factors. Psychotherapy Sessions are HST-exempt.
I offer online psychotherapy from Monday-Thursdays.
Somatic Experiencing
I offer Somatic Experiencing Coaching from Monday-Thursdays, online and in-person on Wednesdays.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is tool to reprocess stress and trauma based in tracking internal sensations and self-protection impulses rather than cognitive or emotional experiences. It sounds science heavy, but it's an organic, experiential method of learning to be present to what felt too hard to stay with in the past. In some sessions we talk and in others we are quiet, sometimes moving and sometimes still. SE coaching differs from psychotherapy in that we focus on primarily on building embodiment skills rather than addressing mental health and illness.
Meditation and Spiritual Mentorship
I offer Meditation and Spiritual Mentorship online, from Mondays-Thursdays.
Mentorship for meditation and spiritual life can involve a number of practices - guided meditations, developing prayer practice, support through distressing experiences stemming from meditation and prayer, application of spiritual teachings into daily life and more. Each session is unique.
